DromonClass Concentrated Inspection Campaign on Certificates and Documentation – Crew Certificates and Ship Certificates
07 May 2021 | C21012
Our Marine Division is initiating an internal Concentrated Inspection Campaign (CIC) on Certificates and Documentation – Crew Certificates and Ship Certificates
NOTICE TO
Ship Owners/ Managers/ Operators | Surveyors / Auditors
Following an extensive analysis of the Port State Control Inspections and occurrence of a rise of detainable deficiencies, our Marine Division concluded that the first CIC of the year will be focused on Certificates and Documentation – Crew Certificates and Ship Certificates.
The CIC will start from May till the end of June 2021.
The main objective of the CIC is to identify any deficiencies with respect to the Certificates & Documentation and assist Owner/Managers for compliance with STCW requirements and ship certificates.
Additionally, the aim of this CIC is the minimize of detainable items onboard our fleet and simultaneously the possibility of vessel detention related to the above area.
Regardless of the scheduled survey scope, the Surveyors will perform the CIC during the vessel’s forthcoming surveys.
Any identified deficiency will be recorded in the vessel’s survey status report for the proper follow up and for a corrective action plan. Our ERETES platform possessed the capability for further investigation and review of the deficiencies. With the purpose to assess and verify whether measures and corrective actions were carried out, Dromon may request to execute a predetermined additional occasional attendance.
Act now
Ship Owners/ Managers/ Operators are encouraged to submit the CIC checklist to ensure compliance and avoid possible deficiencies both by PSC and Dromon Surveyors. In case any deficiency is identified, please inform DromonClass Marine Division
Attending Surveyors are authorized, during forthcoming surveys/audits irrespective of scope, to assure and evaluate the desired performance of the CIC checklist, in order to prevent unexpected deficiencies onboard. In case deficiencies have been recorded, an official Notice of Recommendation shall be issued to the vessel and a copy shall be submitted to DromonClass Marine Division.
