Notice to: Ship Owners / Managers / Operators

The Republic of San Marino Maritime Authority has issued a revised Policy letter – SMPL-2022-MLC-009, which states the Administration’s terms and conditions for seafarers working on a ship under the Maritime Labour Convention (MLC), 2006.

All provisions set by the MLC 2006 Convention, as ratified, are applicable and must be adopted for all contracts of seafarers working on board ships flying the San Marino Flag.

Points to note

The Policy letter includes the following:

• Annex I – Template of San Marino Seafarer’s Employment Agreement.
• Annex II – Recommended minimum wage scale.

Ship Owners / Managers / Operators of San Marino flagged vessels should review the contents of the Policy Letter and be guided accordingly.
