ISOLA Test Participation – 28/11/2023

We are delighted to share that our Organization actively participated in the ISOLA test conducted on November 28, 2023. The test took place on a passenger ship situated in the port of Patras.

ISOLA is an EU-funded initiative that combines state-of-the-art technologies blended with novel solutions to enhance situational awareness and support Ship Security Officers and crew in the execution of their duties.

Our team played a crucial role in the successful execution of the test, providing both physical presence and valuable insights to enhance passenger safety. Various scenarios were meticulously carried out, showcasing our commitment to maintaining the highest security standards.

One notable scenario involved a simulated situation where a passenger boarded the ship with illegal cargo concealed in their suitcase. Detection was performed using a specialized machine, leading to the identification of the illicit substance. Subsequently, an automatic message was triggered, alerting the security officer to initiate the necessary communications and take appropriate actions.
