Paris MoU 2025 Performance List
01 July 2026
Dromon Bureau of Shipping Achieves Further Significant Improvement in Paris MoU Performance List
Dromon Bureau of Shipping (DBS) is proud to announce a substantial improvement in its performance on the latest Paris MoU List for Recognized Organizations (ROs), covering the period 2023 – 2025. This new list, effective July 1, 2026, is crucial for calculating a ship’s risk profile, which in turn determines its inspection priority.
DBS’s Excess Factor has seen a significant decrease from 0.14 to 0.04. This continues a positive trend, building on the reduction from 0.33 to 0.14 in the previous three-year period.
This achievement underscores DBS’s unwavering commitment to enhancing safety and performance across its fleet. The success is a direct result of several proactive and continuously refined initiatives, including:
- Enhanced Detention Prevention Policy: Our refined policy ensures even clearer and more consistent procedures for identifying and addressing potential detainable deficiencies during inspections, minimizing their occurrence.
- Deficiency Alerts: We’ve strengthened our system for proactively informing clients about potential issues, enabling even faster rectification and helping them to avoid detentions.
- Proactive PSC Preparedness Program: Our comprehensive program continually evolves to better assist DBS clients in preparing for Port State Control (PSC) inspections, further reducing the risk of deficiencies.
- Dynamic Preventive Inspection Checklists: We regularly update and expand our comprehensive checklists to encompass emerging risks, allowing us to identify and address potential issues even more effectively before inspections occur.
Andreas Nicolaou, CEO of Dromon, commented: “This year’s Paris MoU results reaffirm Dromon’s commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence. They reflect the dedication, expertise, and collaborative efforts of our teams, particularly within our PSC Department, Marine Division, and Quality Division, whose work plays a key role in maintaining the highest standards of service. We are proud of this achievement and will continue to invest in quality, technical competence, and the safety of the vessels entrusted to us.”
