Dromon Bureau of Shipping Strengthens Cybersecurity

Dromon Bureau of Shipping (DBS) is proud to announce the successful completion of its cybersecurity enhancement project, co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund and through the Research and Innovation Foundation (RIF).

Launched on May 2, 2024, this initiative aimed to elevate DBS’s cybersecurity standards to the highest level.

By aligning with the “Enhancing Cybersecurity for Small and Medium Enterprises 2023” proposal, DBS has fortified its digital infrastructure and safeguarded sensitive information.

Key Achievements:

  • Cyber-Hygiene Certification: DBS has achieved certification under the Cyber-Hygiene Framework for SMEs, a testament to our commitment to robust cybersecurity practices.
  • ISO 27001:2022 Certification Pursuit: As part of our ongoing dedication to excellence, DBS is actively working towards obtaining ISO 27001:2022 certification, a global standard for information security management systems.
  • Enhanced Security Measures: We have implemented a comprehensive range of security measures, including:
    • Robust Security Policies and Training: Empowering our staff with the knowledge and skills to prevent and respond to cyber threats.
    • Proactive Software Updates: Ensuring timely updates to address vulnerabilities and protect against attacks.
    • Advanced Network Security: Fortifying our network with cutting-edge firewall technology and advanced detection/prevention systems.
    • Comprehensive Data Protection: Safeguarding sensitive data through stringent data privacy policies, data loss prevention measures, and a robust incident response plan.

 

By taking these proactive steps, DBS has significantly enhanced its resilience against cyberattacks, protecting our valuable assets and ensuring business continuity.
