10 February 2025

🚀 Exciting Milestone for NAFTOPLUS!

Dromon Bureau of Shipping Ltd is pleased to announce the successful submission of the Interim Progress Report for the NAFTOPLUS project, an innovative initiative funded by the Research & Innovation Foundation (RIF) under the Enterprises program. The project is coordinated by Charakis Research & Consulting Ltd.

🔹 About NAFTOPLUS

NAFTOPLUS focuses on developing a cutting-edge AI-driven Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution tailored for the maritime industry. The project aims to digitize and optimize advanced analysis methodologies, enhancing workforce productivity and improving the operational efficiency of shipping companies.

📍 Key Achievements
As part of our progress, we conducted in-depth research involving surveys, interviews, and observations across various maritime roles—both onshore and offshore. This effort helped us map workload distribution into three key categories:
Main Actions
Secondary Actions
Other Actions

This structured approach enables us to develop detailed records of daily and weekly activities while incorporating mental workload measurement techniques. The validation of our workload analysis tool is being carried out with the support of Manchester Metropolitan University and Dromon Bureau of Shipping Ltd, ensuring accuracy and industry relevance.

📅 Next Steps
NAFTOPLUS is progressing according to schedule, with full project completion expected by December 2025.
